USGC Bids Farewell to Andrew Conner

Conner

ConnerAndrew Conner, U.S. Grains Council (USGC) manager of global biotechnology, departed the Council on April 6 to join the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO)’s international division on agriculture.

“Andrew represents a true Council success story. He stepped directly from the idyllic college lacrosse fields into the crucible of biotechnology. He has become a respected, global authority on the subject, and the Council has benefited greatly from his acumen and energy,” says USGC president and CEO Tom Sleight. “The good news is that we will continue to interact with him in his new role.”

Conner joined the Council in 2011. In his role, Conner directed and implemented USGC strategy on biotechnology and represented the Council in national and international biotechnology forums and coalitions.

Conner also led the Council’s Innovation and Sustainability Advisory Team that provides a valuable forum for discussing how these issues impact all sectors of the grain industry.

The Council’s leadership thanks Andrew for his years of service to the organization.
