It’s that time of the year: Yes, it’s planting season, but it’s also time to recognize early-career individuals who are committed the seed industry and making an impact. Each year, Seed World, in partnership with the American Seed Trade Association’s Future Seed Executives (FuSE) recognize a Future Giant of the industry.
The award will be given at ASTA’s Policy and Leadership Development Conference, which will be held June 9-11 in Washington, D.C. Nominations are now closed.
Judged by Seed World’s Advisory Board, nominees will be evaluated based on their dedication to the industry, their ability to make a significant contribution to the seed industry, as well as their leadership both in their place of work and in their community.
The program is open to candidates who are in graduate or undergraduate program in post-secondary education and intend to pursue a career in the seed industry, or currently employed by a seed company, laboratory or university and seen as an up and coming leader. Nominees should be based in the United States.
Not only will the Future Giant be recognized at ASTA’s Policy and Leadership Development Conference, but he or she will be featured as part of the September issue of the magazine. Check out last year’s winner.
