Mackenzie Trader Thinks Drones Are the Next Big Thing

At the 30th Annual Independent Professional Seed Association Conference in Indian Wells, California, Alex Martin sat down with IPSA scholar Mackenzie Trader, an undergraduate at Rend Lake College in Ina, Illinois. Trader’s passion is new technology in agriculture — she loves seeing all the technology in the agronomy side of agriculture. Her favorite thing currently? Drones! Trader believes drones are the upcoming technology not only for farmers, but also for agronomists because they can take yield counts and thermal readings.
