At the 30th Annual Independent Professional Seed Association Conference in Indian Wells, California, Alex Martin sat down with IPSA Scholar Martha Hoffman, a journalism major with a minor in marketing at the Northern Illinois University. Coming from her family farm, Hoffman thought it was interesting to be on the opposite side of agriculture — seeing the business side instead of the farming side. She hopes to put her journalism major to work while continuing to farm and play the pedal steel guitar.
