Syngenta Canada Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Nathan Klages, a business leader with two decades of experience in product marketing, as biologicals business manager in Canada. Klages will bring dedicated leadership to the new biologicals business developing products for the Canadian market to help growers grow their best crop.

“We are grateful for the experience that Nathan will provide the biologicals business as we build new complementary biological technologies into the Syngenta portfolio,” says Syngenta Canada President Trevor Heck. “We believe he is uniquely positioned to leverage our broad research capabilities as well as collaborate with strategic partners on integrated crop management solutions focused on the Canadian grower.”

Last month, Syngenta Canada entered the biological control market with a new corn and soybean seed treatment, Draco. In addition to this, Syngenta will introduce Valagro products in Canada for 2022. Syngenta Biologicals is helping growers improve farm productivity and creating a sustainable future for people and nature.

“We know that growers are looking for new and innovative ways to manage their crops and I believe biologicals are going to be a tool they reach for more often,” shares Klages. “The Syngenta biological portfolio will provide choice and flexibility in managing resistance, enhancing soil health and reducing residue.”

Before this appointment, Klages held various customer support and marketing roles within Syngenta Canada and the Global Syngenta team. He is a graduate of the University of Guelph and the Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program.
