When it comes down to it: what makes your company important?
It’s a question that causes most people to pause, but Jette Juel Halberg knew the answer immediately.
“We are doing something that’s essential to the world’s communities,” Halberg, the senior vice president and head of Human Resources at DLF, says. “That is a good driver for being attractive to employees.”
Halberg says finding new ways to be attractive to employees is important — and DLF is looking into solutions such as being part of the new green agenda going forward to address sustainability concerns across the globe. But, in addition, DLF has its own full value chain.
“We as a company have sort of the full value chain,” she says. “We have very specialized R&D professionals that have a very strong academic background.”
DLF also has full scale production, processing and commercial activities to both consumers and wholesalers across the globe.
“For a company of just over 2,000 employees, we benefit from being a full value chain,” she says. “As an employee, you meet a lot of different colleagues and get a lot of inspiration from people working with something totally different.”
However, Halberg says DLF is working on amplifying that message.
“We can do much more in making that known and being better at conveying the message about what kind of workplace we have and what kind of company we are,” she says.
