- Kent Schescke, executive vice president and CEO of the Council for Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST). Based in Ames, Iowa, CAST is a nonprofit that decodes scientific papers and processes for policymakers, the media, the private sector and the public.
- Joe Schwarcz, director of the Office for Science and Society at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is an award-winning teacher and speaker for his work communicating about chemistry to the public. His office has the goal to ‘separate sense from nonsense’ when it comes to food and, recently, the mysteries of COVID-19.
