Nufarm Announces New Country Lead for Canada

changes

Nufarm announces the appointment of Boyd Bergstrom to the role of country lead, Canada as the company positions itself for continued growth in the Canadian crop protection market. Effective March 2019, Bergstrom assumes the role from Lachie McKinnon, a 30-year Nufarm veteran who is returning to Australia to enjoy semi-retirement after guiding the team to increased market development over the past two and a half years.

Bergstrom joined Nufarm in 2007 and quickly advanced to his most recent position as Western Canadian sales manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and has a Certified Crop Advisor and Professional Agrologist designation.

“We’re extremely pleased to welcome Boyd to the leadership team and believe the combination of his passion for Canadian agriculture and technical background will be of great value as Nufarm continues to evolve and grow,” says Brendan Deck, regional general manager, North America. “Boyd is a proud Prairie farm boy who understands the importance of providing real solutions to farmers while supporting retail and distribution channel excellence.”

Bergstrom also announced changes to the sales team in Western Canada that he said will help Nufarm continue to elevate its “boots on the ground” support for customers. Darren Froats is moving into a new role as Regional Sales Manager of the Eastern Prairie region, and Rob Forrest is joining the Nufarm team as Regional Sales Manager for the Western Prairie region.
