Scientist from all over the world are coming to Seed Valley (The Netherlands) for the 6th Workshop on Molecular Aspects of Seed Dormancy and Germination. This triennial workshop gathers researchers from all over the world to share and discuss latest results and insights in their molecular work on seed functions. Moreover, colleagues from the Dutch seed industry are involved in the organisation of this meeting to enable all the participants to think about and discuss possible applications.
Besides lectures, participants have the unique chance to visit world-leading vegetable- and flower seed companies in Seed Valley. The workshop is taking place simultaneously with the annual open days of the companies. Customers from all over the world get acquainted with the latest varieties and techniques in plant breeding.
About the workshop
This workshop has been organised by the International Society of Seed Science, Wageningen University & Research, Seed Valley, Syngenta, Bejo en ASP Quality Support. The International Society for Seed Science is a professional organisation of seed scientists. This organisation fosters and promotes research, education and communication in the scientific understanding of seeds.
