The summer growing season means long days and short nights. Those working in agriculture know how challenging and rewarding the growing season is. In Canada more than 40 per cent of farmers work more than 40 hours a week with 80.7 per cent of larger farms working more than 40 hours a week average. In those long hours, those working in ag are making a lot of decisions, mainly agronomic, which is why we’re taking a closer look at agronomic issues this season on Seed Speaks.
The fifth season of Seed Speaks starts on July 13 and is entitled Agronomics in Action.
During the growing season there’s a wealth of issues to keep track of. From weather to spraying to future planting decisions, there’s a million things to remember. That’s why the team at Seed Speaks is here to help you out by talking with experts about those issues so that you have information you need to make decisions for your business, whether you’re in the fields, office, or lab.
Season five will take a deep dive into the agronomic issues that matter. We’ll talk with experts about using chemicals on crops, stewardship for foliar and seed treatments, cover crops, heat and stress concerns in reproductive and grain fill for corn, soybean, and other crops, amongst many other hard hitting agronomic issues.
Join us on July 13 at 12 p.m. CDT on Seed World‘s Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn pages to watch the new season.
