CSGA Gearing Up for Annual Meeting in Victoria

This year's CSGA annual meeting takes place in Victoria, B.C.

The Canadian Seed Growers’ Association (CSGA) is gearing up for its highly anticipated annual general meeting, set to take place in the picturesque city of Victoria, B.C from July 3-5. This year’s event promises not only breathtaking scenery but also a packed agenda of activities designed to engage and connect Canada’s seed-growing community.

“We have a lot of events planned, including deep-sea fishing and golf. It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with your fellow seed growers in an incredible setting,” CSGA Executive Director Doug Miller says.

While Miller jokes that his personal fishing adventures in childhood were more about eating chips on the boat than catching fish, he encourages everyone to take advantage of the activities on offer. “I won’t be on the fishing boat, but I hear it’s going to be an unforgettable experience. And for the golfers, it’s another great way to unwind and build relationships.”

This year’s AGM marks a historic milestone for the CSGA as it will be the first meeting held under CSGA’s new open membership model. Miller is particularly excited about this evolution in the organization’s structure. “We’re really encouraging everyone to come out to beautiful British Columbia and be part of this new chapter,” he says.

The AGM is more than just a meeting—it’s a celebration of the vibrant and resilient seed-growing community in Canada, he said. With its mix of business sessions, networking opportunities, and unique West Coast experiences, the 2025 AGM in Victoria is shaping up to be an event to remember, Miller added.
