Digital is the backbone of everything now. But while it’s critical to embrace digital, it’s equally important to understand that truly upping your digital game involves having the right people and knowledge on your side to make it happen. Only then can you develop a comprehensive strategy that helps achieve your desired business goals.

Two years ago, we hired a young woman named Rebecca. She arrived at Seed World Group with bright eyes, a fresh perspective, substantial digital knowledge and a relentless drive to tackle whatever challenges came her way.

From the start, she delivered on multiple fronts. Internally, she played a pivotal role in supporting our editorial team and shaping our digital content strategy. Thanks to her efforts, our team saw significant growth in awareness, engagement, and all the key metrics that define success in the digital space. But at that point, her work was primarily behind the scenes, supporting our internal initiatives.

Recently, we made a strategic decision to move Rebecca into a client-facing role. Our thinking was simple: we needed to give her more responsibility and more airspace to innovate and challenge our thinking.

As a digital-first organization, we understand the importance of digital. But there’s something unique about those who are digital natives — they approach things differently. And that’s a perspective everyone in business needs to harness, especially given the diverse audience we serve.

Whether you’re a seasoned industry veteran or part of the younger generation, you must deliver a digital product that resonates with everyone while continuously pushing the envelope.

However, doing so involves more than just posting ‘stuff’ on social media. Posting content isn’t a strategy, it’s just noise. It’s but a single ingredient in the whole digital dish. The ingredients are important, but you also need a talented chef. That’s someone who knows how to help you draw up a map to ensure you’re headed in the right direction. Without that, you’re likely to end up serving your audience the equivalent of a bad meal.

Compelling content, the expertise to connect that content to the right platforms, and the strategy to ensure you’re moving toward your goals is the recipe for success. With the right people and the right strategy, you can be confident in navigating the digital landscape, cutting through the noise, reaching your audience and growing your business.
