SPI: Seeds Save Lives

-

By working with Seed Programs International, seed companies can help farmers in developing countries access quality vegetable seed with the goal of helping them to transition to sourcing it locally or regionally. CEO Peter Marks brings us up to speed at the American Seed Trade Association’s Vegetable & Flower Seed Convention in Orlando, Fla.

    That’s a great job, congratulation.

very impressive explanation about seed industry and working in different contries for the promotion of vegetable seed specifically in developing country,I think the vegetable seed production specifically 2-3 month crops are the vest answer to food and nutritional security, The activities are mostly restricted to Africa. I am interested if it could be initiated in Pakistan where 45 percent children are facing malnutrition and about 30 percent have stunted growth.
Can you please expand your activities in Pakistan, what are requirements .I am my self retiered DG seed certification and remained consultant with CIMMYT for early generation seed in wheat. Drafted seed rules and regulations. I executed vegetable project through public and private partnership.
i will be anxiously waiting response, regards
