This week, INCOTEC announced it will relocate its film coat DISCO production from Oxford, Indiana, to Mill Hall, Pennsylvania — home of INCOTEC’s parent company, Croda International. Additionally, it will open an Innovation Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
North America is the largest market for seed enhancement in field crops and is projects to grow, according to a company news release. INCOTEC believes these investments put the company closer to the customer for better support.
The relations to Mill Hill is expected this summer. The Croda manufacturing facility at this site has all the necessary infrastructure to accommodate the production of film coat liquids, such as a skilled workforce, laboratories and logistics. Future capacity increase can also be accommodated.
The new Innovation Center will be dedicated to providing innovative products and solutions tailored to market needs. Housing research and development and commercial functions, the new location will allow INCOTEC to improve its customer experience and to better present proof of concept products in a professional environment. Other location benefits include timely technical support for customers, increased production efficiency and capacity, and the availability of top ag technology research and development talent.
In 2018, INCOTEC intends to also move its Pollinator Plus program from Oxford to DesMoines. Pollinator Plus is a method of synchronizing the flowering period of male and female plants, leading to the optimal production of hybrid corn seed.
